Responsible Consumption and Production
The UN Sustainable Development Goals are calls to action to address global challenges like poverty, climate change, and more. Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production describes the need to lower our intake of resources, whether by consuming less or by reprocessing what we've already consumed. You may already know this goal as the phrase, "Reduce, reuse, recycle."
According to the UN, sustainable consumption and production is all about "doing more and better with less." Increasing resource and energy efficiency will cut down on degradation and pollution, boost the economy, and improve quality of life.
