What is Americas Feeder Libraries To Go?

Americas Feeder Libraries To Go is a contactless curbside service that allows students and teachers the opportunity to pick up library books from summer reading from the comfort and safety of your vehicle. To participate simply place items on hold through the online catalog or email your campus librarian.


 

 

When and Where do I pick up my books?

Where: Americas High School's front parking lot is the central location for pick up and drop.

When:
Wednesday, June 10th 10:00-11:30 am (place book request by noon on June 9th)
Wednesday, June 24th 10:00-11:30 am (place book request no later than June 16th)

*Make sure to bring student ID, stay in the vehicle, and wear a mask.

How do I reserve a book?

Due to the COVID 19 closure, please only select books from Americas HS Library. But don't worry! Americas Library has lots of children's books and middle school books to choose from along with many teen and adult titles. Each student may check out up to 5 books, You may return the books at the next curbside to go date. *Disclaimer: If the book requested is not available on the shelf, then a librarian will select a similar title for the student.

What safety precautions are being made?

All librarians are required to wear gloves, a face mask, and practice social distancing during curbside service. All items checked out will be sanitized before given to students/parents/teachers at curbside libraries to go. All items returned during this time will be placed in a 72- hour disinfecting quarantine before being made available for future check-outs. When picking up your book, you must wear a mask, stay in the vehicle,and  provide student ID. Books will be placed in the trunk of the vehicle.
