Professional Development: TAGT On Demand (GT Training): Core Classes (30 Hr Certification)

What is the 30 Hour GT Certification?

A thirty hour GT Certification is required by all teachers. This certification is mandated by the Texas Education Agency. TAGT On Demand provides teachers online courses to complete a portion of their 30 hour certification.

Models of Differentiated Instruction Nature & Needs of Gifted Children
Creative and Critical Thinking Identification and Assessment
Engaging Gifted Students by Adding Depth/Complexity  

A District-led presentation will be provided to those who have not completed Nature & Needs and Identification & Assessment. You may use TAGT On Demand if you need to complete one of the following 30 hour Core Courses: Models of Differentiated Instruction, Creative and Critical Thinking, or Social & Emotional Needs.

Directions

Step 1: Click on LINK

Step 2: Login using your SISD email and assigned TAGT password

Step 3: In the Teacher Dashboard, select a course. Make sure you are in the 6 Hour Update Course selection and not the Core Classes.

Step 4: Begin your course. You may pause and replay as needed. During the course you will be asked a series of questions. These responses must be completed in order to receive your certification of completion. After you have completed the course(s), return to the Teacher Dashboard to access your certification(s).

Step 5: Download or print a copy of your certification for your records. Make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled to access your certification.
