We will spend the day exploring nature while sauntering through McKittrick Canyon in Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Throughout the day, we will spend time in nature using the styles and techniques of authors we read about this week and on Friday we will do a collage of our writing using objects in nature.

Williams: In quiet contemplation, you will be given paint swatches as your color template. Spend time in solitude using your five senses to connect with the landscape. Think how you feel. Listen to the sounds. Feel the textures. Behold the sights around you. Choose a paint swatch and use the colors to write about how your senses respond to the landscape.
